Double-Booked Therapists

One of the most common reasons that VA appts with bids are not handsfree booked is that the request is for a specific provider and the provider is double booked. 

In many cases, they are already booked with that patient, and in these instances we should delete the bid and then cancel extraneous the request (delete the bid so the provider doesn’t receive a potentially confusing text about the request being canceled). 

In other cases it is an office based provider who has very tight appts booked back to back or they are not leaving enough time between an in-home or office-based appt. You can text with the provider to clarify what time they’re going to see each patient, or go ahead and confirm the appointment if what it seems like is the provider might start early with another patient and just needs to shift things slightly, and can handle communicating with their patients themselves.
